List of Pregnancy Planning Resources

January 19th 2010 in General

List of Pregnancy Planning Resources We understand the overwhelming feeling of needing to learn so much about your new baby and your pregnancy all within a short 9 months. These are a few resources that will help get you on the right track. The following books have been very helpful to me during my pregnancies and in raising my son. Great Expectations by Jones and Jones This was the pregnancy book I used with my first. Original Source

Wic is excllent!

Also, for getting stuff for yourself and your baby, look at places like Freecycle, in my area there is always a long list of people giving away baby supplies and clothes for both of you.

Here is a site I found: http://www.etters.net/teen.pregnancy.messageTP.htm
There is a couple of phone numbers there that migt help.

See if you can find a number for a womens, pregnancy or teens crisis lines in your city. They would be a big help to you.

Some churches offer free clothes and baby items, and sometimes offer free food boxes as well.

There is no shame in asking for help, you’ll find in most cases people are happy to do whatever they can for you.

Take care

Oh, I just came across another site:
http://birthright.reachlocal.net/
This below was taken of of their website:

” We are here to help you in making a decision about your pregnancy.

We will listen to you through one-on-one contact to provide personal attention.

We want you to know the many options available to you.

Birthright is prepared to help you whether you are single or married regardless of age, race or religion.

Free pregnancy testing
Completely confidential help
Non-judgmental and caring advice
Friendship and emotional support
Legal, medical, and educational referrals
Prenatal information
Maternity and baby clothes
Housing referrals
Social agency referrals
Information on other community services
Adoption information ”

They seem like they would offer help with information, etc.
You may have to ignore if they try and push adoption on you, I’m assuming that isn’t going to be an option for you.
So just over look that and maybe they can help you locate services in your area that can offer a hlping hand!
