Yep, normal. They don’t all do it, but it’s not unusual when then first begin to realize they can move their own bodies (rolling, crawling, cruising, etc.), they exercise protest more often. I took my two older kids in the tub with me when they were that little, until they got old enough to sit by themselves, then we moved on to the kitchen sink, which they loved. Once they were able to walk and be mobile, baths moved back to the tub, without mommy in the tub. When you take your little one in the tub with you, be prepared ahead of time by either having her dad waiting on the other side to take the slippery little creature into a dry towel for you, or lay some dry towels on the floor in preparation to set her down while you climb out yourself. We get very creative when we’re stuck by ourselves!

My husband started taking our third into the shower with him when she was just a few weeks old; I waited outside the shower for the slippery baby hand off. She’s 2 now and LOVES the shower, playing happily at my feet and heaven forbid if I should try and take a shower without her. Needless to say, she’s very clean.

Another option if she’s not particularly irty and doesn’t need her hair washed is to just to sponge-type bathing.
